To avoid pamper duty, I decided to tag along with some friends to the "soft opening" of the new nightclub Bliss Lounge; kicated along the shores of Bangtao.
The entrance in (at the time of this post) was nothing more than a bumpy dirt road lit by flourescent lights postedalong the ditch. But this will obviously be taken care of if it hasn'r already to match the decor inside the lounge.
With a DJ playing music reminiscint of my days working with Red Bull, Bliss has multiple rooms catering to every taste, including day cabanas overlooking the bay od the AndamanSea.
Even at it's soft opening, Bliss' prices were a bit steep, with large Stellas and hoegaarden's costing over 300 baht each. As the manager said when asked why the prices differred than the 250 baht price advertised, *it's 250 baht plus plus." Whatever that means.
But, words cannot do justice to the view Blisshas. Unfortunately, I didn't jave a camera with me the night of the soft opening, so best check back with their website later when it is up and running.
Venture down to the end of Soi Gonzon on Patong's infamous Bangla Road, and you will find theWhite Room Nightclub. Upon entering the small club,
you'll enjoy the refreshing blast of A/C without having to pay a cover charge like some of the larger clubs on Bangla charge. Despite its small size, the White Room offers plenty of seating and a makeshift dance floor if the need arises.
Definitely a good place to kick off the night for a few cold beverages, the White Room manages to provide a fun, unpretentious venue for a very eclectic crowd hailing from all over the world. The music is good and the drink prices aren't too exorbitant compared to its bigger counterparts Hollywood and Famous. The smaller size of the club helps the club seem busier than other places early on in the night, giving you a sense of electric energy perfect to commence your
